As I See It - Thoughts on Getting Through This Difficult Time, Week 12
Part 1
Last week, no one was more surprised than I when a faithful Sunday blog reader contacted me asking, “Did you write the Sunday blog?” Indeed, the blog was written but never published. As I sometimes say, “My bad.” It had two parts to it, just like today’s blog will have. Part 1 was the message that I need to take a rest break from writing the Thursday blog. After 72 weeks of publishing a weekly blog, I have run out of gas and inspiration. The fact that I forgot to publish this bit of news is a testament to my mixed feelings about the decision. The good news for me is that I have actually written the blog that will published at the end of my sabbatical on Thursday, July 9. More important, I am thinking through a new possible direction the blog might take. The plan is to continue the informal, casual, largely off-topic Sunday blog.
Part 2 Things I Have Learned from Photography - 15
15. For every photograph you take, there is probably a doppelgänger somewhere.
That makes sense when you realize that it is estimated that 1.4 trillion photographs were taken in 2019. As an amusing exercise, I suggest you check out the Instagram gallery @streetrepeat, which presents similarities in photography.
